I'm a native prune picker! Yep, I was born and raised in Southern California. I grew up here during the 1950's and 1960's. The best time to grow up here in my opinion.

I lived in Los Angeles County until the 6th grade. When my dad died we moved to Ventura County. A job transfer took my family to Kern County in Central California for 5 years. We moved to San Diego County in 2000.

I graduated very late in life from Cal State San Marcos with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies with honors in Sociology. Coincidentally my son graduated the same semester!

I received my Associate of Arts Degree from Bakersfield College and a Technical Certification from San Diego State. GO AZTECS.

I'm a big Laker/Charger fan. I enjoy writing about the places I have been and all the nooks and crannies in between.
